At Fetch, play + sip, we want every visit to be safe, fun, and stress-free for both pups and their humans. To make that possible, we’ve put together some quick guidelines on which dog behaviors (and owner behaviors!) are the right fit for our space.
✅ Dog Behaviors We Love to See
Playful, social, and friendly interactions
Respectful play (both dogs are enjoying it)
Good recall (your pup comes when called)
Calm greetings with other dogs and people
Sharing toys and space without issue
❌ Dog Behaviors That Don’t Work Here
Any display of aggression toward dogs or humans
Excessive barking that disrupts the park
Resource guarding (over water or space)
Mounting or overly rough play
Ignoring recall or showing no interest in listening to owners
✅ Owner Behaviors We Love to See
Actively supervising your dog at all times
Intervening if play gets too rough or uncomfortable
Picking up after your pup right away
Being respectful of other owners and their dogs
Understanding your dog’s limits and knowing when it’s time for a break
❌ Owner Behaviors That Don't Work Here
Treating the park like a dog-sitting service — you must stay engaged with your pup
Allowing unsafe or rough play to continue unchecked
Ignoring signs of stress, fear, or fatigue in your dog
Letting dogs roam without a leash outside of designated off-leash areas
Forgetting to clean up after your dog
Overindulging at the bar and focusing more on drinks than your dog
At Fetch, play + sip, we believe that a great dog park starts with great dog owners. By keeping a close eye on your pup and stepping in when needed, you help make the space safe and enjoyable for everyone.
