Rules vs. Manners at Fetch, play + sip

At Fetch, play + sip, we draw a clear line between rules and manners. Rules are non-negotiables — they exist to keep every dog and human safe inside our space. Manners, on the other hand, are the preferred behaviors that make the park welcoming, enjoyable, and stress-free for everyone.
Both categories matter. Breaking the rules threatens safety. Ignoring manners disrupts the community experience. And in either case, if a behavior creates an unsafe or unwelcoming environment, it may be grounds for dismissal.
RULES (non-negotiable, for safety)
Vaccinations required – All dogs must be up to date on specified vaccines.
Registration completed – Dogs must have a current profile on file before entering.
Leash policy – Dogs must be leashed when entering/exiting and in the lobby; off-leash only in designated play areas.
No retractable leashes please.
Age & health – Puppies under 4 months and dogs in heat are not allowed for safety reasons.
Supervision – Owners must remain in the facility and supervise their dog at all times.
Aggressive behavior – Dogs showing aggression must be leashed and removed promptly.
Clean up – Owners are required to pick up after their dog immediately.
Limit – Maximum of 2 dogs per person in the park. More than 2 dogs require special permission.
No humping – Keep play appropriate for everyone’s comfort and safety.
Manners (good behavior guidelines)
Share the space – No “resource guarding” water or humans.
Play fair – Encourage your dog to take breaks and avoid rough play that overwhelms others.
Respect boundaries – Not all dogs want to be best friends; help your pup listen to cues.
Mind your noise – Some barking is fine, but constant barking should be managed.
Food-free fun zone – Don’t bring personal food or dog treats into the play areas.
Stay alert – Phones down, eyes up; keep an eye on your pup at all times. Socialize with the people around you.
Kindness counts – Treat fellow owners, staff, and dogs with patience and respect.
Keep it PG, pups! – A friendly reminder that no humping makes for happier playtimes.
Four paws on the floor – Please don’t let dogs jump up on people or furniture.
At Fetch, play + sip, our goal isn’t to exclude anyone — it’s to protect the well-being of the entire community. By following the rules and practicing good manners, you help create a space where every dog can play safely and every person feels welcome. Together, we can keep Fetch, play + sip the kind of place where tails wag, drinks are enjoyed, and the community thrives.
